Stuttgart. The moovel Group, which has its headquarters on the Marienplatz in Stuttgart, supports the capital of Baden Wurttemberg during the particulate matter alarm season: from October 15, 2017 to April 15, 2018, users of the moovel app have the chance of winning local public transport tickets on particulate matter alarm days. Furthermore, moovel also passes on the reduced price for the fully electric smart fortwo cars from car2go.
From October 15, 2017 until April 15, 2018, the city of Stuttgart will initiate a so-called particulate matter alarm when the weather conditions cause atmospheric pollution. As in the past two particulate matter alarm periods, the moovel Group is encouraging the inhabitants and visitors of the state capital of Stuttgart to use buses and trains again this season: on particulate matter alarm days, a random generator decides for each ticket purchased via the moovel app whether moovel will bear the cost of the ticket. The probability that a moovel customer can travel absolutely free of charge on buses and trains lies at 50%. Directly after the booking, the user will be informed by a push message and in the invoice whether the booking is free of charge or not. This offer is valid throughout the entire VVS region only on particulate matter alarm days and is exclusively available via the moovel app. The offers applies for the ticket categories single, child and short-trip. What's more, moovel also passes on the reduced price of 25 cents per minute offered by car2go for the rental of its fully electric smart fortwo cars (instead of 29 cents per minute).
Users of the moovel app will be advised about the particulate matter alarm via the social media channels Facebook (facebook.com/moovelDE) and Twitter (twitter.com/moovelDE) as well as by newsletter. The moovel mobility app is available to download free of charge from the Apple App Store and Google Play Store.
Simple access to mobility
Multimodal mobility platforms such as moovel help make the use of transport in cities easier and more sustainable. Throughout Germany, car2go, mytaxi and Deutsche Bahn can directly and easily be booked and paid for via the moovel app. The direct booking and payment of local public transport tickets is possible in both the Stuttgart and Hamburg transport association regions. As the first provider worldwide, moovel has created a true "one-stop-shop" for urban mobility in the two cities. Booking and paying for local public transport tickets in the moovel app is extremely simple: when you search for a connection to a destination using moovel, the app automatically suggests the most suitable ticket to buy. The tickets are available in the app and can be called up online and offline for ticket inspections. Billing is easy and takes place within the app, without the customer having to register with the transport association.
